After just three years in business, FREEPORT MARKET is thrilled to announce the acquisition of a second location at 31 Main Street in Freeport, Maine. This is a huge milestone for local businesses and Maine-made products, reflecting the incredible momentum of the Maine Made Movement. With over 16,000 square feet between both locations—including 10,000 square feet available immediately for our Holiday Market—we’re ready to make this season one to remember!
Join our growing community of Maine makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs in two bustling retail spaces located in the heart of Freeport, Maine. Nestled in a vibrant town brimming with unique shops and restaurants, our stores draw thousands of visitors daily (3.5 million annually!) and are located right near the L.L.Bean campus and Northern Lights festivities. Both stores feature on-site parking and prime, high-traffic spots in town.

Freeport Market is owned, curated, and managed by Mellisa Wilkins, a fellow maker and advocate for the power of community. Mellisa understands that retail can be challenging to tackle alone, especially while managing the demands of a growing brand. By joining Freeport Market, you get access to a premier retail environment with shared overhead, all at a fraction of the usual costs. Together, our diverse offerings enhance our storefront’s appeal, while our collective marketing amplifies visibility, making success within reach for everyone involved.

Our fee structure is flexible, varying by store and services needed, but our commitment is always the same: to maximize your profits and sales.
We’re looking for the best in handmade goods, including jewelry, accessories, apothecary, apparel, home goods, artwork, bath & body products, packaged foods, children’s clothing, toys, and more! This season, we’re especially interested in holiday items and unique, standout brands with a strong online presence.
Freeport Market Maker Openings:
We’re currently seeking new vendors for apparel, soap, jewelry, toys, candles, gift wrap, kitchen towels, holiday napkins, maple syrup, dry goods, pet supplies, and pottery.
Available spaces include 1 larger 100 sq ft space, ideal for a vendor looking to create a flagship store in Freeport, 5 x 50Sq foot spaces, ideal for those wanting more room to showcase their products, along with 7 smaller shelving units. Join us for our busiest months of the year—and beyond!
M.A.D.E Maker Openings:
We’re looking for makers across all categories to join us! Get in on the ground floor and secure first choice of prime retail spaces. We’re offering year-round spaces for makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs. If it’s MADE or designed, we’re interested!
MADE will also feature micro retail spaces, with preference given to makers interested in growing with us year-round. Just like Freeport Market, MADE is fully staffed, handling management and sales so you can set up and leave the retail magic to us.
